"Just to let you know that the party we had on Saturday 17th June was a huge success. We would like to thank you once again for the lamb you provided at such short notice. The lamb was extremely well packaged & your personal service was very much appreciated. We spit roasted the lamb over oak, seasoned the meat with olive oil salt & pepper, that's all the flavouring the meat needed as we thought the oak did it justice enough. it was delicious, tender & moist. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience (many of them are chefs). I will try to email a photograph as soon as I can. We would love to taste the Heather lamb in the future, our mouths are watering at the thought of it!"
"We had some chops on Thursday and a leg joint on Sunday. It is superb meat both in taste and texture. It cooks very easily and the leg carved beautifully. Needless to say I am absolutely delighted and will never settle for anything less that Gillgate lamb again. I thought the idea for mutton is excellent. I have talked to my friends about it and we all agreed that with the correct cooking there is no problem at all using mutton. I will contact you as soon as I need some more. See you soon". "Dear Mr Bell I thought you might like to know how much we enjoyed the shoulder of mutton we picked up on Friday and ate on Sunday. <...>. There was enough to provide substantial portions for me, my wife and daughter, my mother and my brother with some left over to eat cold the next day. My daughter, who doesn't usually eat a lot of meat, asked for a second helping. When we left my mother on Tuesday to come home to Belgium she was even making soup from the bones! The meat was beautifully dark, tender and succulent on the inside and the flavour was excellent - more pronounced than lamb without being too strong." Mr P Willis Belgium.
"Thank you so much for the lovely lamb, it was received today by a very good and considerate courier company." Nancy Kirk
"Many thanks for the lamb which we received on Tuesday. Brilliantly packed and presented ready for the freezer. We had some of the lamb chops on Tuesday which were very good but the real test comes when my mother comes for Sunday lunch! Please can you let us know about the heather lamb when it becomes available. Kind regards" Susan and John Robinson
"The spit roast [lamb] last month was voted the best lamb anyone had ever tasted! (And some of them were Cumbrian farmers!!!) I'm coming over to the fireworks on Saturday in Askrigg and wondered whether it is too late to try and grab an autumn box...could you give me a call? "
